The posse is Mojo's way of showing props and connecting with your friends. You're also allowed to 'broadcast' a message to your posse, so it's a great way to zap all of your friends at once and invite them out on the town, to a movie, or whatever... (see the hotbox section of the FAQ for more details)

If you have a friend online you can request to join their posse when viewing their profile. Likewise, they can request to join your posse. It's a mutual thing, you see, so the requested mofo must first agree before the connection goes live. When a posse invitation is accepted, you will both appear in each other's posse.

How do I know if someone has requested to join my posse? - When you first login to the site, the login form will be replaced with some basic information on your account. One of these lines reads jump to your posse. This line will also show how many pending posse requests you have( i.e. (2 new)).

How do I remove someone from my posse (and thus remove yourself from their posse)? - Choose my posse on the left side of your screen to manage your posse list.

Here's some other thoughts on posses:

• Strangers might want to be in your posse! - It's not a contest. Letting someone who is a punk into your posse might reflect badly on you. Some mofo limit their posse to close friends, others to those that they have met in person. Some mofo use their posse list as a way to advertise. The choice is yours, so be selective.
  
• Respect other's wishes - If someone declines your request to join his or her posse, don't send another request. It just makes you look like the freak you really are. Keep doing it, and we'll nix your account and giggle at you.
  
• Don't abuse the 'broadcast to posse' feature - We're not all interested in the fact that your cat coughed up a hairball today. (Try giving it some castor oil.)

Is it possible for me to send a broadcast to EVERYONE in my posse at once without having to click every single damn name every time??? - Um, yeah, the thing is, NO. You'll just abuse that sorta power.
