Has someone read your messages or changed your profile? Your account has likely been compromised.

This can happen in more ways than you can imagine; and although it's beyond the scope of this document to explain them all in detail, we'll touch on them here.

First, change your email password! If the perpetrator has your email password, they can retrieve your Mojo password using a password reminder.

The most important thing is to regain access to your account quickly and then change your password... and then figure out how it happened in the first place. Use our password reminder to request that your current password be sent to your email address. If your email address isn't recognized, it's likely that this has been changed as well. In that case, you will need to create a new account. You should also write us so we can nix your old profile and try to identify the perp.

Once you have your password in hand, click the MY PROFILE: EDIT link on the top-left side of any page to change your existing password to something new.

How did it happen? Here are some possibilities:

• Your roommate or someone coming to your house used your computer. It happens ALL the time. Always make sure to log off of Mojo when you're done(choose the BUHBYE option). Also, don't use features that 'remember' your password across sessions, etc.
  
• An ex has installed spyware or a key logging program on your computer, which means that everything you type can now be seen by them. If you suspect this is the case, you can download Spybot, Adaware, AVG and some other utilities to try to locate it. Google up 'key logger' or 'spyware' and see what it comes up with. Alternately, take your PC to a local computer shop and have them clean it and tune it for you.
  
• An ex or roommate guessed your Mojo password because you use the same password on everything. Lame! Get creative, mo'fo, and save yourself the hassle.
  
• You accessed Mojo from another computer that has been compromised or is subject to packet-sniffing (i.e. a work computer with a lot of mischievous IT techs, a wireless laptop with a non-secure connection, etc.).

Note: If you believe your password is compromised, don't just change your password on Mojo. Change your EMAIL password as well.
