A mofo has passed away...
| |
As a matter of policy, we don't remove a member's profile who has passed away. We let the system automatically remove them after several months. The reason for this is that we think it's more respectful to the person not to clean away every trace of them immediately, and it allows their friends to vouch for them, save some pictures, etc. If a family member prefers otherwise though, we're glad to remove it for them, but we hope that most will feel the same as we do.
We do not do any official memorials or obituaries on the homepage but you're welcome to create a thread in the forums if you like.
All RIP Threads must go in the "On Topic" forum. Disrespectful posts will be deleted with a Time Out. The death must already be announced to the public by the coroner before it's posted, of course. We don't want people reporting things right after they happen before the family has been notified. The person need not have been a Mojo member in order for an RIP thread to be created. |
