Seriously, I hadn't even had the biek a week and already my first crash. I traded this BMX style bike for a full suspension Mongoose mountain bike (It's real nice, front disc brake and everything). I plan on some fenders removing the spraypaint a rear rack, etc. Well I was leaving my g/f's house and I was goin down the hill by the UofL campus (the one that goes by the soccoeer field and whatever that street is that takes you to that dead end that makes you turn of 4th st). As soon as I started to go under the overpass my right foot slipped off and I slid sideways; having the gaurdless crank dig into my leg, my shorts ripped, arm scrapped, skinned knee and the like.
The bad thing is my mama and grandmother were home. Well good cause my mama is the only person who made a big deal out of it. I had to tear up an a-shirt aka wifebeater to use as bandages. Soaked in alcohol and hydrogen pyroxide. I believe the pedals are too small, I've never had that problem before but I'm gonna see if the crank gaurd will come off my crappy Incline and the BMX style pedals I put on it. Plus I have orientation at GSI today and it's kinda hard to walk because of the bandages. There was like no pain through this whole ordeal, just a cold sensation. Somethings wrong with the bikes chain or rear derailure or crank but it's ridable. I know Mongoose arent really good bikes, I think it's called a Mongoose Nuerosis(sp?) or just has that sticker on it.
