It sounds like they've run out of controversial things to talk about regarding construction of the downtown arena.

With most media distracted and waiting around at the BOZA meeting this morning, the Arena Authority quietly held its monthly meeting to announce, well, nothing.

Check that. Bill Hedge, the top exec for Mortenson Construction, said that everything is on schedule and it's possible that construction could wrap up a couple of days early, with the venue ready for events next Halloween.

He provided a bunch of impressive numbers on how much concrete has been poured and how the guts of the building are coming along. You can get that info here at Business First.

Next month, the authority is expected to discuss a parking and transportation plan.
