Today I had to take my son back to his mom, and then shortly after decided to go look at my truck again, after me and the dude who wants to trade for it worked on it today trying to line up the timing marks in order to get it to start.
So after researching on the web, i found out that the Haynes manual is wrong about which set of timing marks to use on this model, so I went out and got my tools out and proceeded to work on Blue, for one last time.
I lined up the correct timing marks and removed the distributor, turning the rotor one half turn rotation, and installing it back onto the truck, lining it up with the number one spark plug.
I fired up the engine and it purrs like a kitten, and now I am about to go for one last ride with Ol Blue, tonight will be the last time we ride together, and tomorrow I will say good bye to my truck and hello to a better ride for me due to my foot injury, and thats cool cuz someone else can get better use out of it.
As I buttoned everything up, I remember all the memories in this truck, all the rides I have shared with Amanda and Vincent, how many times I had traveled to Houston and back in this truck, and how many times I had slept in the backseat while driving to new places.
But now I have someone interested in trading the truck for his jeep, and of course I am going to do it cuz he needs the truck for work, and he actually knows how to work on vehicles, so why not go ahead and trade him for it?
I know he will take good care of it, and I know that 'Ol Blue will always be right there for him to go anywhere, trust me, I love this truck alot, but I know hes going to better places, and with someone who knows how to keep him running.
Also today was a milestone for me because I can actually drive the truck now, and walk better without my cane or crutches, yes I am seeing my prayers being answered, one by one, and the best is yet to come.
